Retention of information – Call Records, Call Traces, Recordings, and other information

NGT maintains the following record availability for resellers to access and download through their Dashmanager portal.

NGT Manage PBX Portal

The NGT Manage PBX Portal includes On-net (e.g., Ext. to Ext., System Users Voicemail), Off-net call records, and Call Recording and Call Trace files.

PBX CDRs

On-net and Off-net call records are available in the portal for at least 3 months. You can only download records in increments of 90 days.

Please note that some PBX Call Center data relies on CDRs, while some other Call Center data may be available past the 3-month retention period. For this reason, PBX Call Center Data is only guaranteed to be retained for 3 months.

You may want to consider requesting API credentials for downloading and storing records for extended historical periods. Send your API request to support@nexgentelecom.net.

CDR Call Recordings

NGT provides Best Effort retention for Call Recordings. This means that although we will strive to retain call recordings for up to 30 days, we will not guarantee the length of time that a recorded file will be retained.

CDR Call Recordings once S3 Archiving is provisioned

If you set up your AWS S3 bucket, Call Recordings will be available for up to 6 months in the PBX Portal. The time frame depends on how long the CDRs are available in the Portal (it could be less than six months), and the recording is available in your S3 bucket.

Call Traces

Call Trace record files are kept for days. Once a call trace is pulled, meaning the link is viewed, the link remains available for viewing for 60 days.

Note: The method to view call traces as CSV files is no longer supported.

Deleted Voicemails

Deleted voicemail records are removed nightly. Deleted voicemails cannot be recovered after this time.

Outbound Faxes

Outbound faxes are kept for a maximum of 10 days, but inbound faxes will stay on the portal as long as they are not deleted.

Manage Telco (PSTN Inbound/Outbound Call Records)

Manage Telco (Off-Net calls) are available for download for up to 20 weeks. It is your responsibility to download these records regularly if you need longer retention.

Note: Please pull date ranges of 30 days or less when trying to retrieve these records. In some cases for larger CDR call volume customers even smaller date ranges may be required (every 15 days or weekly).

QoS Monitor

QoS/RTP-Sight files are kept for a maximum of 7 days. These files are permanently deleted.

Voicemail to email Hyperlink

Voicemail-to-email hyperlinks will remain valid for 7 days or until the voicemail is deleted from the VM box.

Fax to email Hyperlink

Fax-to-email hyperlinks will remain valid for 7 days.
